QA Engineer – Automation
🎯 Purpose of the Role
To design, develop, and execute automation test strategies ensuring quality, performance, and functionality of software systems. This role requires a proactive mindset, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong foundation in automation tools and techniques.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
Design and develop automated test scripts using Java, C# .Net, Python, and tools like Selenium and Appium.
Implement BDD practices using Cucumber for behavior-driven test case writing.
Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and track defects.
Collaborate with QA and development teams to define effective test plans.
Maintain and enhance existing test scripts in line with software changes.
Conduct code reviews and advocate for testing best practices.
Analyze root causes for defects and work with developers for resolution.
Contribute to Agile practices, CI/CD integrations, and process enhancements.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a knowledge-sharing culture.
Stay updated with the latest testing trends and contribute to the QA community.
✅ Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, and scripting in Java, Python, or C#.
Familiarity with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
Understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile practices.
Proficiency in Xray and its integration with JIRA.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle pressure, collaborate effectively, and adapt to extended work hours when needed.
⭐ Desirable Qualifications
Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
Domain expertise in Investment Banking / Financial Markets.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools, pipelines, and practices.
Understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery models.

Lead and coach QA teams to meet automation goals.
Collaborate across departments for cross-functional alignment.
Contribute to risk mitigation strategies, policy enhancements, and governance.
Represent QA in enterprise-level initiatives and offer subject matter expertise.
