Cisco is looking for a skilled Test Development Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bangalore. As part of Cisco’s engineering division, you will contribute to the development and validation of advanced testing frameworks, automation solutions, and next-generation network technologies.
You will play a key role in improving test infrastructure, identifying bugs, automating regression suites, and enabling scalable testing of Cisco’s high-performance products. 🧩 Key Responsibilities
🔹 Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems for hardware and software solutions.
🔹 Execute test plans, interpret results, and track defects across product lifecycles.
🔹 Develop Python-based testing tools and scripts for automation.
🔹 Collaborate closely with development, validation, and system engineering teams to enhance test coverage.
🔹 Debug complex issues and support root cause analysis for hardware/software defects.
🔹 Contribute to continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
Education:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
Experience:
• 1–3 years of experience in QA Automation, test development, or embedded software testing.
Technical Skills:
• Strong programming/scripting experience in Python (mandatory).
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with networking protocols (L2/L3), test frameworks, and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Knowledge of system-level debugging and performance testing is a plus.
Soft Skills:
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with excellent documentation abilities.
• Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
💰 Estimated Salary Range
• Monthly Salary
₹60,000 – ₹85,000
• Annual CTC
₹7.2 LPA – ₹10.2 LPA
