Iris Software is seeking a highly skilled QA Hybrid – Senior Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This role blends the best of both manual and automation testing and demands a strong grip on the software testing lifecycle, tools like Selenium, Java, SQL, and JIRA, and familiarity with agile practices. As a QA expert, you’ll work on end-to-end testing strategies, contribute to defect management, improve automation coverage, and ensure high-quality deliverables in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
Manual & Functional Testing
Perform comprehensive manual testing on various modules and platforms.
Validate business workflows and ensure functional compliance with client requirements.
Automation Testing
Develop and execute automation test scripts using Selenium with Java and Cucumber.
Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and regression suites.
Agile & Collaboration
Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with developers, BAs, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver testable solutions.
Defect Management
Identify, report, and track defects using tools like JIRA or other test management systems.
Assist in root cause analysis and work with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
Database Testing
Write and run SQL queries for backend data validation and ensure data integrity.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
Experience
5–7 years of QA experience, with expertise in both manual and automation testing.
Core Technical Skills
Hands-on with Selenium, Java, and Cucumber.
Sound knowledge of SQL and database testing principles.
Working knowledge of test case management tools and bug tracking systems like JIRA.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Preferred Domain Knowledge
Experience in banking or financial services is highly desirable.
Soft Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
